From 73ee4c925028cdebc60f60dbc6c6d05823e8ad99 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Thomas Heartman Date: Thu, 27 Jan 2022 09:59:38 +0100 Subject: [PATCH] docs(a11y): remove role 'alert' from availability notice. According to [MDN's article on the `alert` role](https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/Accessibility/ARIA/Roles/Alert_Role), `alert` should only be used for "information that requires the user's immediate attention", such as the user's login session being about to expire or the connection to the server being lost so that local changes will not be saved. They also add that: > Warning: Because of its intrusive nature, the alert role must be used sparingly and only in situations where the user's immediate attention is required. While availability may be an important (or at least relevant) piece of information, I do not think it classifies as urgent or requiring immediate attention. --- website/docs/user_guide/environments.md | 2 +- 1 file changed, 1 insertion(+), 1 deletion(-) diff --git a/website/docs/user_guide/environments.md b/website/docs/user_guide/environments.md index b3bd79419e..029bcb8469 100644 --- a/website/docs/user_guide/environments.md +++ b/website/docs/user_guide/environments.md @@ -3,7 +3,7 @@ id: environments title: Environments --- -
