https://linear.app/unleash/issue/2-3878/persist-strategy-filter-when-going-back-from-the-release-template
Persists the strategy filter in the new "add strategy" modal when going
back from the release template preview modal.
This is done by moving the filter to the parent component, so the filter
state persists across these navigations.
Also updates the button text in the release templates preview to say
"Apply template" for consistency, but only if the `newStrategyModal`
flag is enabled.
This PR cleans up the releasePlans flag. These changes were
automatically generated by AI and should be reviewed carefully.
Fixes#10536
## 🧹 AI Flag Cleanup Summary
The `releasePlans` feature flag has been removed, making the feature
permanently
available for Enterprise customers. All conditional logic and checks
related to
this flag have been removed from the codebase.
This change ensures that Release Plans are an integral part of the
Unleash
Enterprise offering.
### 🚮 Removed
- **Flag Definitions**
- `releasePlans` flag from `experimental.ts` in the backend.
- `releasePlans` flag from `uiConfig.ts` in the frontend.
- `releasePlans` flag from `server-dev.ts` development config.
- **Conditional Logic**
- Removed checks for `releasePlansEnabled` in components and hooks,
including
`ReleaseManagement.tsx`, `FeatureStrategyMenu.tsx`, and
`NewInUnleash.tsx`.
- Removed `useUiFlag('releasePlans')` calls from all frontend files.
- Removed the `flag: 'releasePlans'` property from route definitions in
`routes.ts`.
### 🛠 Kept
- **Feature Functionality**
- All UI and logic related to Release Plans and Release Templates are
now
unconditionally enabled for Enterprise users.
### 📝 Why
The `releasePlans` feature has been successfully rolled out and is now a
stable
part of the product. This cleanup removes the artık feature flag to
simplify the
codebase and reduce complexity.

Addresses and removes all leftover comments related to the flag overview
redesign flag.
There's four changes here:
1. Remove release plan milestone strategy and environment footer.
Dangling files, no references.
2. Delete old code without references in theme.ts
3. Delete legacy playground result chip. Replace all references to it
with references to the new chip. The API is the exact same and the
legacy chip was just passing through everything to the new chip anyway,
so nothing should change.
4. Remove a now-redundant way to supply a default
Deletes the legacy strategy separator and removes all references to it.
Luckily, all references to the separator were in dangling files that
could themselves be deleted directly.
This PR removes more constraint inputs and validators that are not in
use anymore. Additionally, the old constraint components that are still
being used by the project action filter item, have been moved to that
directory. This also goes for ResolveInput which has been simplified to
only the inputs and operators used by actions filter item.
I've done a manual side-by-side comparison of the old and newly
refactored filter item, and it appears to be working the exact same.
This PR continues the cleanup after removing the addEditStrategy flag
(part 2 of ???). The primary purpose of this PR is to delete and remove
all references to the LegacyConstraintAccordion.
I've gone and updated all references to the legacy files in external
components and verified manually that they still work.
Most of the files in this PR are changing references. I've extracted two
bits into more general constants/utils:
1. Constraint IDs are a symbol. it was exported as a const from the
previous createEmptyConstraint file. I've moved it into constants.
2. formatOperatorDescription was similarly used all over the place, so
I've placed it in the shared utils directory.
In reviewing this, you can ignore any changes in the legacy constraint
accordion folder, because that's all been deleted. Instead, focus on the
changes in the other files. It's primarily just import updates, but
would be good to get a second set of eyes, anyway.
We were seeing strange errors when the feature component was rendered
before the feature data was returned from the backend. Now, we ensure
the component is not rendered until the feature is available.
We're migrating to ESM, which will allow us to import the latest
versions of our dependencies.

Code for constraint accordion was copy-pasted before previous
improvement. Old version is still in use for Segments. When we get to
improving constraint editing we should rebuild segments editing, without
use of this code.
Adds focus styles to the env accordion header only when the focus is on
the header itself (not on the env toggle inside the header). The focus
style is consistent with what we do for other accordions (dashboard,
milestones).
Middle one is focused:

Focus is on the toggle inside the top one (yeh, we should have better
focus styles for toggles; but that's not for now):

Open and focused:

Getting the consistent background for the header when it's open is a
little tricky because the accordion container and summary are split into
different files. ~~This first iteration used a class name for the
specific header (because envs can have multiple accordion headers inside
them, e.g. release plans) and setting a CSS variable in the summary, so
that the background matches.~~ I found out that I only need to set it in
the parent anyway 😄
Without it, you get this (notice that there is a little white outside
the lower corners):

Implements the drag-n-drop tooltip the first time the user sees a
strategy drag handle on the feature env overview. It uses React Joyride,
which is the same system we use for the demo.
The design is a little different from the sketches because I couldn't
find a quick way to move the content (and the arrow) to be shifted
correctly.
If the demo is also active the first time a user visits a strategy page,
it'll render both the demo steps and this, but this tooltip doesn't
prevent the user from finishing the tour. It might be possible to avoid
that through checking state in localstorage, but I'd like to get this
approved first.
The tooltip uses the auth splash system to decide whether to show the
tooltip, meaning it's stored per user in the DB. To avoid it
re-rendering before you refetch from the back end, we also use a
temporary variable to check whether the user has closed it.
